Even if it was available to those specific farmers, you can't be sure that they would want to purchase it and then its operational cost where the operational cost for the civet is paying for itself. The processing and fermentation process is still looked at as a craft. If fermentation was controlled like it is in the beer making process, our ability to taste and focus on the soil and care the farmer has put into the growing of his/her beans would become standardized.
