What is a Peaberry?
A peaberry, also known as caracoli, is a small round bean that is purposely screened out during the sorting process. They are different by how they are developed during the growing stage. Around 5-8% of all coffee beans harvested are peaberries. They gain a reputation to roast and taste better than normal berries because of their shape. More importantly, what contributes the most to their superior taste is they have been carefully selected out of a harvest.
