UTZ Certified Colombia La Meseta

Colombia ranks second to Brazil in total coffee production and produces coffees of all grades to suit different markets. There are lower grades for commercial and food service applications, generic medium grades, specialty grades and at the highest end of the spectrum, there are specific appellations with a designated varietal and farm or micro-region.

La Meseta comes from the municipality of Caldas on the eastern slopes of the Cordillera Occidental, one of the three branches of ridges in the Andes Mountains that split in southern California. The emphasis of these coffee growers is on quality and sustainability with focus on natural and biological conservation, biodiversity conservation, waste management and optimization of farm resources. This bean is washed and sun dried and grown in partial shade 1400-1550m above sea level.
