1. Initial Inquiry

Applicant completes the Dunn Bros Coffee Request for Information (found on the FAQ page) and submits it to Dunn Bros Coffee Franchising, Inc. Based on a review of the information, Dunn Bros Coffee determines whether to send an application or contact the applicant by telephone or Email.

2. Application

Applicant completes and submits the franchise application. Upon positive determination of the application and financial qualifications, a Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) will be sent to the applicant.

3. Due Diligence

Applicant reviews the FDD with a Dunn Bros Coffee representative and meets with at least three current franchisees.

4. Franchisee Interview

Once the applicant has completed the due diligence process and submitted a preliminary business plan, the applicant is invited to a Discovery Day at Dunn Bros Coffee headquarters in Minneapolis, MN.

After a positive interview:

5. Franchise Agreement

After a positive interview, a franchise agreement is sent to the applicant.

6. New Owner Orientation Training

Franchisee must complete the 3-day Dunn Bros Coffee Orientation.

7. Site Review

Franchisee identifies and analyzes a proposed location. (Dunn Bros Coffee provides guidelines for analyzing location.) Franchisee seeks consent from Dunn Bros Coffee for the proposed site. Upon acceptance of the site and executed lease, a territory will be sent.

8. Construction

Dunn Bros Coffee approves the plans and construction begins.

9. Training

Franchisee successfully completes a 2–3 week Dunn Bros Coffee training class held in MInneapolis, MN.

10. Shop Opens
